Why Baskets Make Great Housewarming Gifts
Housewarming gifts should be functional. Many people tend to give gifts that are beautiful but serve no purpose beyond their decorative nature. Those types of gifts are fine for established households, but when someone moves into a new house there are many things they will need. These are usually small things that they took for granted at their previous home and didn’t think about having to replace. And when moving into a new home, there are many things that need to be taken care of. Those little items that were taken for granted are often low on the list of priorities.
Baskets make great housewarming gifts because they are not only beautiful, they are also very practical. Baskets can hold a gift card to a local hardware store, because new homes always need a little adjusting. They can hold a menu and coupons for a local restaurant, to introduce new neighbors to the fare available in the new neighborhood. They can hold bottles of spices for that new kitchen, soaps and lotions for that new bathroom, or even a bottle of aspirin and a roll of bathroom tissue – because all kinds of little things get left behind or forgotten when moving a household.
